Recently we were honoured to visit the beautiful @smgardens for an afternoon. Set on the MacIntyre river of Goondiwindi we arrived at Shona's beautiful home, and had a walk through her stunning garden, before we had the opportunity to shoot some of our new homewares.

We recently followed up with Shona to ask her best tips in keeping your garden looking its best in spring.

Get your grass greener:  to keep your lawn looking lush, start with applying a selective weed killer to eliminate broadleaf weeds and bindiis. Follow up with a high quality lawn fertiliser to promote vibrant healthy growth.

Keep Hedges Tidy: regular trimming of your hedges now not only enhances their appearance but also helps to stimulate fresh growth. Pruning also helps to eliminate dead or diseased branches, keeping your plants in top shape.

Plant at the Perfect Time: take advantage of the ideal planting seasons - spring or autumn to introduce new plants. The warm soils and increased moisture provide the perfect conditions for strong root development and healthy growth.

Fertilise for Maximum Growth: before the growing season peaks, give your garden a boost with a nutrient rich fertiliser like blood and bone or dynamic lifter. This will ensure your plants get the nourishment they need to flourish throughout summer.

Stay Vigilant Against Pests: as the temperature rises, pests like aphides become more active, particularly on roses and veggies patches

Enjoy the process! Gardening is not just about the end result but it's also important to enjoy the journey. Take time to enjoy the fresh air and the satisfaction of watching your garden grow.

Happy Gardening!!
