Grace Butterfield is an artist whose background in interior design and fashion deeply influences her appreciation for finely crafted objects and her meticulous artistic approach. Grace primarily works in traditional oil painting, using the medium to capture the beauty in everyday objects. She believes that the richness of oil paint invites viewers to pause, encouraging them to see the subtle layers, textures, and memories embedded in even the most ordinary things. Her work has been featured in various exhibitions, including her inclusion in the Salon de Refusé, held alongside the Brisbane Portrait Prize that same year, and as a finalist in the 2022 Lethbridge 2000 Small Scale Art Award.
