Indian Wooden Parat | Dark
Our Indian wooden "parat" were traditionally used in Indian households for kneading dough (atta) for roti and chapati, these shallow wooden bowls were hand-carved from a single piece of hardwood. Over time, many developed cracks from use and climate. Rather than discard them, families repaired them using metal brackets, homemade putty and the likes. Now they are part of the bowl’s history and authenticity.
Today, these antique parat bowls are highly sought after as decorative statement pieces in rustic, organic and wabi-sabi interiors.
