Vintage Chinese Barrel | Tall
Our vintage Chinese wooden cylinder barrels with hand-carved willow strap ties were traditionally used for churning butter from milk or cream, particularly in rural areas where dairy farming was common. While butter is not as central to Chinese cuisine as it is in many Western cultures, these churns were nonetheless important tools in specific regions, especially in areas with strong ethnic and regional variations in food production, such as Tibetan or Mongolian communities in China
This vintage barrel showcases the craftsmanship and traditional techniques of Chinese artisans from years past, making it a wonderful addition to your collection or a standout decorative item in your home.
