Old Indian Wooden Parat | Vintage
This Vintage Indian Parat Bowl was once used in traditional Indian kitchens for kneading dough and preparing daily meals. Hand-carved from solid hardwood, its shallow, wide form and small side handles reflect both practicality and craftsmanship.
Over time, natural timber movement created splits in the wood. Rather than replace the bowl, it was thoughtfully repaired with metal brackets. These original reinforcements tell a story of resourcefulness and care, adding to the bowl’s character and authenticity.
The softly worn timber, aged patina, and visible repair details make this a one-of-a-kind decorative piece, rich with soul. No two bowls are ever the same.
