Antique Chinese Hand Painted Liqueur Pot #ML41 | Small
Dating back approximately 120 years, these antique Chinese liqueur pots are believed to have been used for storing rice wine and other fermented drinks in traditional Chinese households. Made from earthenware, each pot has a rounded body, narrow opening and original hand-painted decoration, including geometric patterns associated with good fortune and longevity. Variations in colour, markings and surface wear make every pot individual.
Today, these antique Chinese pottery jars make beautiful decorative pieces for a kitchen, console or open shelving. Their warm earthy tones, traditional painted designs and aged surfaces bring a sense of history to a room, whether displayed individually or grouped with other collected ceramics.
