Antique Chinese Willow Vegetable Basket
Traditionally used in rural Chinese households for gathering and carrying produce, this old Chinese willow basket features a handwoven body and distinctive tall, arched handles. Its simple construction reflects the practical basket-making traditions of rural China, with an aged finish and natural variations that give each piece its individual character.
Today, this vintage Chinese willow basket makes a lovely decorative addition to a country kitchen, entryway or living space. Display it with dried branches, folded linen or simply on its own, allowing the woven texture and unusual shape to take centre stage.
