Antique Chinese Three Drawer Console Table

This 150+ year-old antique Chinese pine console table carries the quiet beauty of a piece shaped by generations of daily life. Sourced by us in Shandong Province on our most recent trip to China, its three drawers, simple ring pulls and beautifully aged pine reflect the restrained, practical character of traditional Chinese furniture. Tables of this form were made for everyday use within the home, with drawers keeping smaller household belongings close at hand. More than a century of wear has softened the timber, leaving a layered patina, visible grain and individual markings that speak to its history.

Today, its proportions make it an easy piece to live with — use it as an entry console, hall table, side table or compact serving table, styled simply with collected ceramics, books or artwork. The three drawers offer useful storage while the aged pine brings warmth and texture to a room. A one-of-a-kind piece of antique Chinese furniture, chosen for Harry & Kit for its honest materials, history and enduring simplicity.
